Frequently asked questions

Why do some GPs charge a gap?

The Medicare rebate often doesn't cover the clinic's cost of running a consultation, so some clinics charge the difference (the "gap").

Are telehealth GP visits covered?

Yes — Medicare rebates apply to most telehealth consults, and many are bulk billed.
